  • Adopt a pet!

If you are ready to make a life-long commitment and are ready to adopt a pet, please join the PIN group on Facebook. There you will be able to browse all the pictures of pets looking for a forever home, posted through our members. Even if you think you are ready to adopt, please read what adoption means and ask yourself the questions listed under the 'Adopt/ Foster' tab.

  • Foster a pet!

It seems that most people would rather leave their pet with a trusted member of the family, a close friend or a person who is experienced with animals in a 'homely' environment-rather than having them board at a Veterinary clinic when they travel abroad. They would feel happier and more comfortable knowing that their pet is not kept in a cage, but rather cared for in an environment like in their own home.

We are at PIN Trying to form a small group of Experienced, trustworthy and reliable members who can foster a pet and offer a 'pet care service' for Those who travel. Granted the person interested in offering to help should have experience in taking care of pets, should be someone who has the suitable lifestyle / accommodation and the like, to be able to put up with the different needs of the pets they wish to temporarily care for , and above all, they should be a genuine animal lover!
If you are happy to look after a pet for someone temporarily, love animals, have time to spend looking after it please let us know!

PIN is looking for members who are willing to take care of someone's pet,or to take in a rescue, for either short or longer periods of time.

  • Educate!
Education starts at home. This means teach your children, and/ or parents what caring for an animal means. There are many ways in which you can help educate people whether at your school, community, or workplace. Pet shop salespeople sometimes don't know any better, and need to be informed how to care for the pets they have. Make these people your friend, not your enemy. Get in touch with pet shop owners to see what you can help with to ensure the animals are kept well and healthy. Can you conduct a presentation at your school or perhaps create flyers and distribute them to your friends or neighbors in your building or compound? There are more suggestions listed on the PIN group as well as flyers that you can print out and use.

  1. Share!
Share the posts, pictures or any information that someone has posted and needs more people to know about. Social media has proven to be very effective in reaching out to as many people as possible. The most popular social media tool in Saudi Arabia is Twitter. However share posts via your Facebook page, via whatsapp / sms messages or other means you use and find useful. You never know who might read your post and could end up being the right person to help!

  • Volunteer!
Can you volunteer your time picking / dropping off a pet that was rescued? Maybe you can't , but perhaps you have a driver or someone you know who can? Volunteering doesn't have to be about you physically doing something, because it could also be that you help by lending something that a member might need. A cat trap, a dog carrier or maybe a place to keep a pet for a day or two. If you have some time to spare and have a specific talent, we would love to have volunteers who can help with creating and distributing flyers, uploading more files with educational information for other members, as well getting involved with the PIN youtube channel if you have experience filming. Perhaps you can help people with pets-If you have spare time and access to a car, you can dedicate helping other PIN members (and make a little extra cash on the side) by obtaining documents for their pet ready for travelling abroad. Some agencies and vet clinics can charge up to 2000sr to do this (which is obtained free if one does it him/herself) but you can help someone do it on their behalf and their pet by asking for a small fee instead, unless you wish to help out of your own goodwill.

  • Translate!
The files we have in the PIN group have been translated by kind and helpful PIN members from English to Arabic. However there are more articles that need to be translated. If you are interested in helping out please mention it in the group or contact us. Sometimes, we need Arabic speakers who can talk to people to help in relation to animal care. Other times, a member might need help understanding a document or something that he/she was given. Translators are valuable and we would love to know who could help out with this if and when the need arises. This also applies to other languages such as Hindu and Tagalog. Since PIN members consist of many nationalities, we would like to have appointed members for various other language translations if needed.

  • Spread the word!
Tell people about PIN. Tell them to adopt..not shop, to neuter and to spay. You are the voice for these animals who are counting on you. Be a responsible pet owner and animal lover. It's one thing to say you love animals, and another if your actions don't prove it. What makes you active in your belief? Don't buy pets from a pet store nor a breeder, and never get one as a gift for someone. Please ask questions if you are unsure about a topic relating to animals. Remember YOU are part of the change you want to see in society. it will be very difficult just relying on others to do it for you. Do what you can when you can, and if you can't let others know and we can join forces.
